Can You Be The Next 6-Figure Content Entrepreneur?
Yes you can. You just need a lot of exposure, plenty of hard work, and maybe, a little sprinkle of luck.
Everyone wants to be the next 6-digit content creator.
Are you ready to work hard to get there? I personally know a couple of such high-caliber content creators. They work hard.
I mean, hard-ass kind of hard.
After all, it takes effort to create YouTube videos, write long-form articles, type social media posts, and arbitrage time and attention.
It. Is. A. Full. Time. Job. People.
You can refer to this YouTube video for a better understanding.
For now, let me go through the journey that is required for us to start monetizing our work and effort via the internet.
On Content Entrepreneurship (Just What Is It?)
We have to pivot and rethink our positions as content entrepreneurs or content marketers, or we will be left behind by the ever-changing internet. Asking ourselves good questions is necessary.
These are the questions I have in mind.
What do we (actually) market to grow our digital presence and content entrepreneurship?
How do we do it effectively?
The keyword is TRUST. And trust drives revenue.
As simple as it sounds, the devil is in the details. This is especially so in the pre-production planning of our content. Why do I say that?
Because the content creation process is no longer a privilege to the smart-device savvy folks. As the tools for content creation gets intuitive, the amount of content production per device explodes.
It is WAY easier to push out content posts, videos, articles, interviews today with Linkedin, Twitter, Instagram, Vocal, NewsBreak, Anchorfm, YouTube. The content production landscape was significantly tougher 15–20 years ago.
On Writing and Exposure
The professional marketing realm is vastly different from quantitative finance and data science fields. Marketing is about people, not data.
“Traditional marketing talks at people. Content marketing talks with them.”
The heartbeat of marketing is in its ability to connect with people. Figuratively, professional marketing has its tenacles in human psychology, storytelling for resonance, and using values for branding to forge deep connections.
This human-centric business makes it perfect for us to build a never-ending inspirational wellspring for content writing. In short, we will always have something to write about.
