Introducing to The Bottomsup Perspective Crew!
We believe having a genuine voice matters, and matter even more in the Age of Digitalization and Disruption
Greetings! Welcome to the second newsletter, Insights-in-Sight for Bottomsup Perspective, short-formed BUP!
We are a bunch of people who never met in real life. I swear to God that’s true. You can read the details of ‘our story’ below.
We have no business talking to each other under normal circumstances. Of course, as we all know, this decade has been anything but normal.
· Planes are grounded.
· Mouths are masked.
· Vaccines are administered.
· Humans are stuck at home.
And miraculously, social media came to the rescue. That platform is known as Linkedin. Ever since that first message, we have stuck together for the past 1 year and running.
We shot 63 episodes on live-stream, going live concurrently on Linkedin and YouTube.
The rest, as they say, is history.
Our Story
Kevin messaged me on Linkedin, March 2020.
I couldn’t remember what he said exactly. The purpose, however, is clear.
He wanted to find partners for a Livestream, bringing together perspectives from the East and the West.
Since he is based in The United States, it made sense for him to reach out to someone else in the Asia-Pacific.
We spoke and had virtual conferences twice. I roped in Jeremey during the second session. We discussed the possible themes of the show. We nailed it in a week.
It was branded The Bottomsup Perspectives (BUP). We intended to have candid conversations with real people, telling us real stories.
Today, as I write, we are 65 episodes in. We heard a lot during the show. We discussed among ourselves. We synergized.
And it brought us here.
Our website, also named The Bottomsup Perspectives, is Chapter 2. Here, we focus on what we can offer. We also bring to you what our tribe can offer.
Many people are mistaken. They believe that only those on top are worth listening to. We think otherwise. Never mistake power players with famous people.
Everyone has something to offer. Every individual’s perspectives are unique. It is up to us to listen extensively, adopt the useful, and discard the superfluous.
The Bottomsup Perspectives is set up to do exactly that. Here, we share our valuable insights and teach our skill-sets. You choose what to learn, what not to learn.
You have a choice. And we believe that you do. Don’t just listen to me preaching. Hear from the rest.
From Kevin, Jenifer, and Jeremey
I want to bridge the East and West. Social media today is very Western-driven. I feel everyone needs to have a well-rounded perspective. Business, content, or marketing for that matter, cannot be one-sided. We live in a globalized world! We have to be genuinely connected beyond technology. I want to get people to embrace diversity and cultural sensitivity.
- Kevin
“I started out supporting Kevin because he is my husband and I believe in him. Then I figured that he was having so much fun that I want to do it too! I was so smitten when Aldric brought out the idea of BUP - Female (BUP-F) because I can grow my tribe without the guys! I have never looked back. I am so proud so what the ladies have done and I want to connect with all of you from Idaho, Iraq, Iran, Indonesia, Anus in France, and more!”
- Jenifer
“I believe there is value in everybody’s perspectives, not just those who are successful and are billionaires. In truth, they are really boring. I never failed to start playing mobile games each time I hear them preach work hard. I mean, come on. There is more to life. There are bound to be more like me who need that little escape once in a while. It made me realized different voices exist. And because of that, I genuinely believe that the more we share, the more we learn from one another. Okay, that’s too serious. Animal Crossing, anyone?”
- Jeremey
We Have Opinions, So Do You
You see, everyone has an opinion. Kevin, Jenifer, Jeremey - They are an exact testament to the diversity of our human race.
We have different viewpoints, opinions, and perspectives. These differences are not designed to discriminate. I believe they exist to enrich our life experience.
Because we are designed to learn from one another.
Our weekly newsletter, Insights-In-Sight, is designed to facilitate this course as we find our way through the Age of Digitalization and Disruption.
