Remember your school days?
Remember when you were in academic distress?
If you don’t, ask any students around you. They will tell you that they struggle academically. They might not be able to articulate their struggles, but they can tell you that they are. Ask them the next question. More specifically, ask this question. “Who do you turn to for help when you need help with homework?”
You might think the answer is their teachers.
Maybe the Papa’s girl will tell you that she seeks her Dad’s help. That is a maybe. And for that matter, you might think they turn to their school counselors for assistance. I think their answers may shock you initially.
But before that.
Let me share my personal experience. When I needed help with academic issues, I did not turn to adults for help. I turned to my classmates for help.
You see, my classmates go through the same damn thing with me. We share the same boring lecturer and read from the same textbook. Those who excel must have found ways to digest and comprehend the material beyond the official, boring narrative. So, I sought their help. My understanding took a quantum leap forward.
Students today turn to YouTube for help
The internet has enabled peer support 24/7 and from all over the planet. Here at BottomsUp Perspective, we are taking this one step ahead. We are going to combine the 2. After all, teachers cannot understand the difficulties of learning better than our peers. Teachers are passing on knowledge. Students receive and internalize.
At Bottomsup Perspective, we believe in learning from our peers. The person on your left. The bloke on your right. The girl in front of you.
We believe in learning from digital content too. Take, for instance, the videos on our YouTube channel.
We have 183 videos on our YouTube channel today, democratizing our knowledge of the digital world into bite-size content nuggets. Subscribe to our YouTube channel now to understand the digital realm a little bit more than yesterday.
Also, of course, our newsletter is another way we disseminate information and practitioner’s knowledge to you.
